My name is Jake McDonough and I was inspired to run and hold this campaign due to my family’s relentlessness in fighting, working so hard every year to make an impact. I am proud to join them in that fight in honor of my late great uncle Mark, but also to make a real difference in ending blood cancer. My uncle was lucky enough to fight his battle for 26 years after diagnosis, but too many families cannot say the same, and to be able to have a role in changing that is something I take so much pride in. I fight for ending blood cancer, and ending cancer as a whole. Every 30 seconds, someone in the United States receives a diagnosis of, the scariest word in the English dictionary, cancer. I fight to change that.

I run to make a difference in the lives of families and patients not only monetarily but mentally to feel a sense of comfort in a time where its so hard to find. I want to make a real impact in the amount that I raise and I can only do that with your support.
